To new English 110 students

Dear New English 110 Students,

Welcome to English 110 class, it is a useful and interesting class. There are many knids of teaching ways in this class, such as blog, you can share your information with slassmates; ARP, a interesting practice about using approriate sources to present your ideas; and Commonplace, a public wirting place with full of fun. You must will have a great time through so many kinds of teaching.

My suggestion of this class is mainly about listening carefully to the teacher. The skills teacher tell you is really helpful to your writing. The second thing is practices. I think practicing is a easiest and the most direct way to improve your writing

My favorite breakfast-Uncongealed Beancurd

Uncongealed Beancurd is a famous breakfast called
Doufunao in China. It is a kind of nutritional food. People can absorb 80%-90% nutrition of it.

As its name Doufunao, it is made of tofu, so it tastes so tender.And there are some tasty sauce in it, you must be attracted by the aroma smile!

The foodway in my hometown



My hometown Qingdao is a city at seashore. So there is a large amount of different kinds of seafood. Usually I enjoy eating a fish everyday. So when I came to the US, I really missed the seafood in my hometown a lot.

My favorite seafood dish is Hot Fish. Sometimes people also called it fish filets in hot chili oil. Because this dish has so many steps for cooking it, I think it is significant hard for cooking at home. So we'd better to have it in the restaurant.

Here is a cooking way for Hot Fish from website:

The spicy food can also help you better doing the metabolism. 2.I love the mashed mouthfeel of the fish. The fish form the sea often have tender meat than it from the river. 3.It has been suggested the no other food has a great influence on health and attacking disease than seafood. For example: Seafood can protect against heart disease, help prevent the spread of some cancers and improve the skin condition of psoriasis sufferers.

My PSA


The first source I choose is a vedio about how to produce chocolate. Because I keep diet now, so I do not eat a lot of chocolate, but it can not reduce any of my love to chocolate. I knew only a little thing about how to make chocolate before watched this vedio. At first I was really attracted by the different kinds of shapes of chocolate, such as heart, rabbit and bear. Then I was surprised at the machine make it so fluent to produce chocolate. Usually people pay their attention to the taste of the food, I want to focus on the manner of cooking them by using this kind of source.


Salad is Incompatible with Life
Yes, my waist is fifty inches -
Big for me because I'm short.
And yes, I like my cheddar cheeses

When partnered with a vintage port.

Okay, okay, that double cream
Is always served with pud,
And cake and biscuits with my tea
Are just no bloody good

For my poor hardened arteries.
But see my point of view,
Please dear wifey if you please -
A Salad makes me spew!

I'd rather eat a bowl of air

Drink water from the toilet bowl
Or nibble on my jeans!

But salad! Are you there?

The second source I selected is a poem about the food. Just similar to the poem we learnt in class. The theory of this poem is also quite unique. It is just talk about a fat man who just want to continue his style eating his favorite food like cream but not some healthy food like salad. Even they may be dangerous to his life. Many food has its implication. So I decide to choose the food poem to do some research on it.

A GREAT MEMORY ABOUT OUTDOOR BBQ IN HOCKING HILL

Welcome to Xuyang's Food Square. My name is Xuyang Zhang, a freshman from China major in Financial Mathematics. I like to try all kinds of food, especially Chinese and Korean food, because I enjoy soup and spicy food in these two styles!

In my mind, having a delicious meal with close friends is really a precious time. Luckily, I just had a happy together with my friends last weekend. We drove to the hocking hill and did a great outdoor BBQ there. Because it was windy on Saturday, we just stopped by a archery place instead of entering the hill deeply. There are some kiosks and a large forest. Wonderful scenery with a little bit warm wind is really a excellent place for BBQ.

We grilled so many different kinds os food include bacon, beef ribs, salmon, corns and hot peppers. My favorite one is hot peppers. I do not like it during the daily life, but after grilled, the taste of it had been totally changed. There was a crunchy taste of it with a little bit sweet. I also had a lot of beef ribs with spicy sauce. After the luxury lunch, we played Frisbee and cards on the grass for the whole afternoon.

It is really a memorable day for me. And I suggest your guys go out to have a picnic with your friends in this sunny spring.
